Interferential therapy (IFT)
Interferential therapy is a conservative treatment administered for pain relief in various back pain conditions usually of a degenerative (wear and tear) origin, for example muscle spasms. This treatment is commonly used for patients with Low Back Pain (non-specific).
Epidurolysis for spinal stenosis
Epidurolysis is a procedure that is performed for pain relief in degenerative conditions of the spine which may cause back and/or leg pain. The treatment involves the injection of certain chemicals into the spinal canal to remove adhesions (adhesiolysis) affecting the neural structures. The treatment is commonly used for Lumbar Spondylosis Stenosis.
Minimally invasive spine surgery (MISS)
This key-hole incision type technique means minimal soft-tissue dissection, resulting in early effective rehabilitation, and early return to work as well as sports. MISS is commonly used for Thoracic/Lumbar Spondylosis Stenosis.
Laminectomy
Laminectomy involves the surgical removal of the laminae, which forms part of the walls of the spinal canal. The procedure is performed to decompress neural structures and is commonly used for Spinal Stenosis (Cervical/Thoracic/Lumbar).
Extreme Lateral Interbody Fusion (XLIF)
This procedure allows decompression and fusion of the spine, with better deformity correction. It is a form of Minimal Access Surgery, resulting in minimal soft-tissue damage, and early return to work and sports.
The vertebral column is approached laterally (side), enabling direct surgery to be done to the anterior (front) portions of the vertebral column. This enables better correction of significant spinal deformity. The procedure is commonly used to treat Lumbar Spondylosis Stenosis (with deformity).
Transforaminal Lateral Interbody Fusion (TLIF)
This procedure allows decompression and fusion of the spine with the vertebral column approached posterior (back). The option for Minimally Access type techniques is also available for this procedure. TLIF is most commonly used for Lumbar Spondylosis Stenosis.
