What is Stretta?

Stretta is a minimally invasive endoscopic procedure for the treatment of Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD). A catheter is inserted through one of the Gastroscope channels and it delivers radiofrequency energy to the lower esophageal sphincter (LES) and the GAastric Cardia (just below the LES). Radiofrequency energy is delivered to strengthen the muscle of LES to prevent reflux.
