For two consecutive years (2015 and 2016), Malaysia was awarded the ‘Medical Travel Destination of the Year’ by the International Medical Travel Journal (IMTJ). The medical tourism industry in our country is projected to experience significant growth in the coming years. Equipped with world-class medical expertise and facility, coupled with the comparatively lower cost, Malaysia is indeed an attractive destination for medical tourists.
To meet the demands of this growing industry, we must rise up to the challenge and ensure that our country remains as “the preferred destination for world-class healthcare services”, as endeavoured by the Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council (MHTC). In our effort towards this end, we’re honoured to be awarded the “Best Medical Travel Website”in 2015 by the IMTJ.

On May 26, 2016, our Subang Jaya Medical Centre (SJMC) is proud to be the first medical facility in Malaysia to install the Varian TrueBeam Radiotherapy System – a breakthrough technology in the fight against cancer. Many patients and their care-givers experience psychological distress during treatment, citing the huge strain from long hours in discomfort, severe side-effects, and unpleasant procedures. The TrueBeam system is a solution which allows targeted treatments to be performed with ease, precision, and up to 50% faster than standard treatments, all while reducing side effects suffered by patients. We’re delighted to provide this technological innovation, giving new hope to patients by delivering revolutionary cancer treatments.
Devoted to medical collaboration and clinical excellence in the region, we aspire to facilitate a knowledge-sharing economy with the ultimate aim of enhancing healthcare standards for all. In promoting continued medical education, we support medical conferences and symposiums, gathering practitioners from the region and providing them with an avenue to share their expertise.
On October last year, Ara Damansara Medical Centre hosted a medical symposium for General Practitioners on “Lifestyle Diseases: Modern Management Updates”.The aim was to update GPs to the latest modalities in the field while sharing best practices for patient management and treatment. The overwhelming support and response from GPs and medical officers attending from government hospitals assure us that participants continue to benefit from and support our initiatives.
Staying true to the spirit of Malaysian hospitality, we dedicate ourselves to quality patient care. Taking on a holistic approach, we offer preventive, diagnostic and therapeutic healthcare through carefully selected service-based and product-based services.
In an exciting development, our seven-storey Mediplex was recently launched in SJMC. The upcoming Mediplex contains a 15,000 sq ft Rehabilitative Service Centre and a 12,000 sq ft Health Screening Centre. The tower also includes a blood bank, a regional laboratory, new outpatient clinics for Ear Nose and Throat (ENT), Ophthalmology, Dermatology, Plastic Surgery and Breast Care clinics. The multi-phased development plan is expected to be completed by 2022-2023

Beyond the demand for additional services, we want to prioritise on improving the quality of services as well.”
