Ophthalmology is the branch of medicine that deals with the anatomy, physiology and diseases of the eye. Although the eye seems like a small organ, interestingly it has many sub-specialities that concentrate on the dierent sections of the eye, including inside and around it. There are various sub-specialities in Ophthalmology such as Cornea & Refractive Surgery, Glaucoma, Medical Retina, Vitreoretinal (Surgical Retina), Oculoplastic Surgery and Paediatrics Ophthalmology & Strabismus.
